CultureRater.com was an idea conceived by Theo Pape just before graduating from university in English Literature. It was mainly inspired by the film High Fidelity - based on Nick Hornby's book of the same name - in which the protagonist reels off one top ten list after another; and was originally conceived as a top ten website itself, but quickly grew into the site that exists today...
Thank You
CultureRater.com would like to say a huge thank you to Dave Keen for being so amazingly helpful and patient when giving coding advice throughout the entirety of this project (you can check out his site here: plasticsoldierreview.com); Ian Pape for taking the time out of his very busy schedule to design our logo and provide some preliminary layout ideas; John Pape for drawing our lovely bespoke section icons on the front page; Stefan Mischook and everyone else who works at killersites.com - one of the best web design tutorial sites out there; and Rogie King of komodomedia.com, whose excellent star-rater bar has really added to the overall feel of the site. Without their help, this website would have likely never got off the ground, and we will never be able to thank them enough!
